The Detroit Pistons are about midway through a season that will almost certainly see them picking in the lottery with a 13-24 record.
Their lottery odds should continue to go up after they announced that Blake Griffin will miss an extended period, that will likely have him out the rest of this season.
The “Blake of the Year” award winner has been hampered by knee issues since late last season and was having a slow season due to that, averaging a career low 15.5 points per game.
Blake is still under contract next year for $36.5 million dollars and has a player option (That he would be crazy not to take at this point) for $38.9 million in 2021-22.
Hopefully he can get back to his old self with some rest and rehab.
