Detroit Adding Secondary Depth, Signing Quinton Dunbar

Just less than a few weeks remaining until the 2021 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions are adding more to their new-look team for 2021.

Per NFL Update and his agents in EL Sports, Detroit is adding cornerback Quinton Dunbar to the secondary on a one-year deal.

Dunbar is coming to the Lions after spending the last couple seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Football Team.

The former undrafted free agent out of Florida has recorded 10 interceptions, 40 passes deflected, and 1 fumble recovery and sack each.

However in the 2020 offseason, he and New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker were both issued arrest warrants for armed robbery that occurred at a party in Miramar, Florida. They turned themselves in a couple days later.

Baker was charged with four counts of robbery with a firearm, while Dunbar’s charges were dropped.

Along with defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and secondary coach Aubrey Pleasent, Dunbar will join a youthful secondary as they will field cornerbacks Amani Oruwariye and Jeff Okudah and safeties Tracy Walker and Will Harris.
