The Sox found themselves up 2 games to 1 a few days ago looking to take a commanding lead and maybe even end the series with 2 games left at Fenway. Fast forward to today and the Sox now find themselves down 3 games to 2 heading back to Houston for game 6 and a possible game 7.

Is winning 2 games in Houston possible? Yes, absolutely. Win game 6 and force the winner take all game 7. The issue is the Sox seem to forgot how to hit. After hanging 9 and 12 runs in games 2 and 3, the Sox had miserable 2 and 1 run performances in games 4 and 5.

Assuming Eovaldi goes game 6, and the Sox can just get some runs across the board, it is a winnable game. I have no idea what the plan is for game 7. Probably roll E-Rod out and hope for the best. But it’s crazy how in the corse of 48 hours it looked like this team would hit their way to a World Series, opposed to now being on life support.

All we can do now is hope. I think after the way game 4 ended, a lot of fans, including myself, were not very positive and hopeful coming into today. So to the Sox fans, or just Astros haters rooting for the Sox, be upset for the next 24 hours. Be as upset as you want. But when you wake up Friday morning, be hopeful. Just win game 6, and we deal with game 7 after. Nate is a big game pitcher. The offense can’t be any worse than it was the last 2 days. Keep the faith.
