Darius Slay has officially made it clear that he doesn’t like Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia. It hasn’t been hard to add the pieces of it together as Darius tweeted out his frustrations with the organization multiple times over the last two years.
From the moment that Matt Patricia stepped into the Lions facility from his time in New England everything started going downhill.
Slay did make it clear that Patricia coached differently and handled things better throughout his second season as the Lions coach:
Slay has been attending Friday night High School football games throughout the Detroit area for the last couple of years, something no other player has done. At the end of the interview, Slay showed his love to the people of Detroit.
It seemed to me that Slay and Patricia both have big egos. Slay doesn’t like that about Patricia, and doesn’t like the way that he treats his players.
I’ve also heard rumors that Patricia will keep players for hours after the game going over footage. To the point where he is talking about Kicker Matt Praters footwork during a missed kick.
