According to reports in Italy, superstar soccer talent Cristiano Ronaldo is contemplating an exit from Serie A club Juventus two years before the end of his contract. Both Gazzetta dello Sport and La Repubblica stated that there was a “deafening silence” following the UEFA Champions League defeat at the hands of underdog club Ajax from the Eredivisie, Holland’s top league. The Amsterdam based club came from a goal down in the second leg to win 2-1 in the match and advance to the next round 3-2 on aggregate.

After winning the UCL Title with Barclays’ Premier League club Manchester United once and four times with Spanish club and La Liga power Real Madrid, Ronaldo came to Turin with the same intention. To lead the already talent loaded Italian squad to UCL glory. Juventus has won the title twice before, however, their most recent title was in 1996. The club has made it to the finals twice recently, both losses. First to FC Barcelona in 2015 and second to CR7’s own Real Madrid in 2017. Ronaldo now is concerned that the club will not make the necessary changes to ensure UCL success in 2020. Ronaldo could leave Juve halfway though his four-year contract if ample changes are not made.
