Two shithead shoppers decided to one-up the asshat who wore what appeared to be a KKK hood while shopping. While there may have been doubt as to whether it was a Ku Klux Klan hood (at least for some people in Brunswick, Georgia), there’s no denying what these two people wore.

Shopping with swastikas

According to a report by the UK Daily Mail:

California man sported a Nazi Swastika flag on his mask while grocery shopping in the same town where a man wore a KKK hood in another store, in an apparent jab at Governor Gavin Newsom.

Dustin Hart, who goes by Dusty Shekel on social media, posted a 14-minute clip of his encounter in a Santee Food 4 Less on Bit Chute – a video hosting platform that appeals to the far right and conspiracy theorists.

‘We were peacefully protesting all the crazy lockdown rules that have been and are continuing to be enforced here in San Diego, California,’ the 32-year-old said in the post.

These crazy rules are destroying any quality of life we had left. Now we are unemployed and literally have nothing better to do and no where else we are allowed to be.’

The man’s comments reflect those of others who have found themselves unable to work and in some cases, unable to obtain unemployment benefits during the coronapocalypse. In other cases, they may be eligible for unemployment checks, but the money has yet to be distributed. Nevertheless, why would you want to protest using a symbol that draws attention away from a legitimate complaint?

Here’s a question. If your KKK outfit is at the dry cleaners, does a swastika serve as a good substitute?

The couple’s protest drew the attention of store management. TMZ reported on the dim-witted duo:

As they go around the aisles placing items in their cart, one of the grocery store’s employees eventually confronts them and asks them to take the swastikas off. Of course, they refuse … insisting they’re not doing anything wrong, and hiding behind the First Amendment. The guy even offers them different masks as an alternative, but they say no.

The police were called to the scene and according to The Times of San Diego:

In a 7-minute confrontation with two sheriff’s deputies, Hart says in the video: “We have a Nazi for a governor. Now you guys are here, literally proving my point.”

The longtime Santee resident, 32, says he was making a peaceful protest and not causing a problem.

“I’m just standing here doing my shopping,” he tells a store employee who first confronts the shopper and calls his behavior a hate crime. “Not [causing] any issues.”

At one point, Hart offers to take off the mask “if you don’t like it.” The clerk — who he says he’s known for a long time — offers him another one.

Go for it, man,” says Hart. “I’ll take it off when I’m checking out.”

But Hart later says he’s not taking it off

“It’s my First Amendment right,” he says. “There’s no sign that says I can’t decorate my mask the way I want. This is America — the land of the free.”

While more than a few people are upset with the quarantine, it would seem counterproductive to wear the official symbol of the Third Reich. It’s bad enough that the police have to waste their time with nonsense like this, but imagine what happens when a not-so-calm shopper sees someone in a KKK hood or swastika mask and gets violent? As we’ve seen before, some people can’t understand normal thinking and Dusty and his apparent wife seem to be two such people.
