Cooper DeJean's Big Hit On Derrick Henry Is The Talk Of The NFL

Philadelphia Eagles rookie CB Cooper DeJean made a highlight reel tackle on Baltimore Ravens star RB Derrick Henry during Sunday’s matchup.

In the fourth quarter of the Eagles 24-19 win, Henry caught a pass from Lamar Jackson and DeJean shot in quickly and upended the big running back.

Henry is a big muscular 247 pound bull dozer and DeJean, who weighs in at 198 pounds, took down the hulk of a running back.

DeJean played it cool when commenting on the play.

“I was just trying to do my job, run through him and make the tackle,” he said.

“I didn’t expect to fully pick him up and put him on the ground. It kind of just happened like that.”

DeJean’s big hit has the NFL media and fans buzzing. It also highlights the physicality and mindset of this Philadelphia Eagles team.

The Eagles selected DeJean with a second-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft. An injury derailed the start of his rookie season, but once he was moved into the starting slot corner role, the Eagles defense has taken off.

In 12 games this season, DeJean 35 tackles and two tackles for loss to go along with six passes defensed.
