Cooper DeJean To Start At Nickel Corner

Philadelphia Eagles rookie DB Cooper DeJean to take over nickel corner duties from Avonte Maddox on Sunday vs. the Browns, as per Jeremy Fowler ESPN.

DeJean was the Eagles second round draft pick this year. He missed most of training camp with offseason hamstring injury.

DeJean was ready to go by Week 1, but Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio said that he needed reps before being elevated to starting nickel CB.

Maddox had been a really good slot corner throughout his career, when healthy. It now appears that injuries have finally caught up with him, as his play has regressed.
