For starters, of course the Cavs are interested in the number one pick. The hype around Cade Cunningham has been insane and for good reason. He can do it all, a 6′ 8″ guard with his talent doesn’t come around often. But if the Cavaliers want this pick, they would have to give up a ton. At least the number three pick, a future first rounder, and probably one of the young pieces such as Collin Sexton or Darius Garland. The Pistons would be insane to give this pick up, Detroit finally got a number one pick. Not only that, but in a loaded draft class.

The Cavaliers would have to give up way too much and the Pistons have their chance at getting a franchise superstar on a team friendly contract which is rare these days. These reports may be true but take it with a grain of salt. Of course the Cavaliers are interested but 99% chance of that not happening. This draft is loaded, the Cavaliers have a chance at getting a franchise player at three. Such as Jalen Green, who is mocked to go to the Cavs right now. Green played in the G-league this past season for team Ignite. Green at one point was ranked above Cade in high school.

Green is a stud, averaging 17.9/4.1/2.8 in his lone season in the G-league. If he isn’t there at three, otther guys such as Jonathan Kuminga, Evan Mobley, and Jalen Suggs. The point is, the Cavs have plenty of good options at three. It makes sense for the Cavaliers to stay at three because the Pistons will be asking for so much. Keep the core together and hopefully Green will fall in your lap.
