Almost ten years ago, the team at The Behemoth put themselves on the map with the release of Castle Crashers, a game that combined old-school beat-em-up tactics with traditional hand-drawn design to create a one-of-a-kind experience that’s still a go-to favorite for fans. And, right before PAX East takes place in a couple of weeks, the developer has teased what the future holds for the franchise.

In a new post over on Twitter, the company posted the following images, which shows four Nintendo Switch JoyCon controllers in the colors of the Castle Crashers heroes themselves. This indicates that it might just be announcing a Switch port of the game very soon, perhaps even debuting it at their booth on the show floor.

The game has been a massive hit on Xbox consoles and PC, so it wouldn’t surprise us if Behemoth was looking to sell even more copies on the Switch. It didn’t say anything officially just yet, but it could be revealing the game right before the show takes place, guaranteeing that its booth will be packed with Switch owners.

If announced, the game could release sometime this year. Now all we’re wondering is if we’ll be seeing a physical version of some kind. All the indie games seem to be getting them this year, so it just makes sense for someone like Limited Run Games to give it a shot. Fingers crossed!
