The Philadelphia Phillies announced that first baseman Bryce Harper has been scratched from today’s game with a migraine headache.
Harper was struck in the helmet by a throwback from Mets catcher Tomas Nido in last night’s game. He stayed in the game which went extra innings.
Harper was scheduled to bat third and play first base. The Phillies list him as day-to-day for now.
It has not been made clear, that last night’s incident is the cause of the migraine. Harper has 9 home runs, 29 RBIs and has a .259 batting average for the season.
The Phillies are already without shortstop Trea Turner and catcher JT Realmuto.
