It is happening and finally happened. President Joe Biden has announced that he is withdrawing from the 2024 Presidential Race.
President Joe Biden has decided to step down from the presidential race, sharing his decision in a letter posted on X.
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president,” he wrote. “Although I had planned to run for reelection, I believe that it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to step aside and focus solely on fulfilling my duties for the remainder of my term.”

This announcement follows Biden’s recent diagnosis with COVID-19 on Wednesday. His age and health have been subjects of concern, especially after several TV interviews and campaign appearances where he insisted on staying in the race. These interviews did little to reassure his supporters and gave critics, including some within his own party, more reason to doubt his ability to continue.
Biden plans to address the nation later this week to provide more details about his decision.
