Wow, this is just an unfortunate event. As of now 8 people have passed away from the Travis Scott Concert last night. 11 others were injured. One of them being 10 years old…
Houston Fire Chief said “At approximately 9 o’clock, 9:15, the crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage, ok, and that caused some panic and it started causing some injuries, people began to fall out, become unconscious and it created additional panic”
There were also an additional 300 people total throughout the day treated at the field hospital.
Who knows what other elements were involved, but my heart goes out to the victims and their family & friends who were at the concert.
Look at this stampede before it even started. This should be a sign that things were going to be bad in the first place. This really has to spark a change. ASAP
People go to concerts for enjoyment, there should not be any fear of death when going to a concert. It should be a safe haven for those to escape, enjoy music that they love, and let free from the stresses they have. There should never be any stress about death when you are going to listen to music.
I really wonder how this concert did not stop. There were videos, that were taken down, of medics arriving at the scene. How did Travis Scott or any producer not see this. Just not the news you want to hear waking up. My heart goes out to those involved. It will be interesting to see what happens with this investigation about potential drug links and what may have caused the stampede. Hopefully stuff like this will not happen again.
