BREAKING: Michigan Gov. Whitmer Orders Nonessential Workers To Stay Home For 3 Weeks

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed a stay a home, stay safe executive order on Monday. It’s aimed to restrict business and work activity.

The executive order will shut down businesses not deemed essential or “critical infrastructure” such as hospitals, grocery stores, public safety and public works.

Order will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday. There will be an exemption for 'essential' employees to go to work – those deemed necessary to sustain and protect life. People can/are encouraged to work from home https://t.co/sml0h1B50g

Whitmer order directs people to stay in homes unless part of critical workforce to sustain, protect life; to do outdoor exercise; or to perform tasks like getting food. Also, it bans all public & private gatherings of any number of people occurring outside single household
