After months of rumors, it appears that a deal is in place.

Via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Atlanta Falcons are going to trading All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones to the Tennessee Titans for at least a second-round pick.

There might be more picks and considerations when the trade becomes official.

This appeared to be the case with the team and front office overhaul during Atlanta’s offseason with the hirings of Arthur Smith at head coach and drafting Florida tight end Kyle Pitts at No. 4 overall. It also didn’t help that he admitted he was done in Atlanta phoning live to Shannon Sharpe on FS1’s Undisputed

.

With the addition of Jones, the Titans are projected to have a versatile offense on display for the 2021 season coming off their first division title since 2008 (third since moving to Nashville).

Entering his 11th season, he will join fellow former Alabama Crimson Tide star in All-Pro running back Derrick Henry, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, wide receivers AJ Brown and Josh Reynolds, and tight end Anthony Firkser for Tennesse’s dynamic offense.

Just another splash move in what it is a wild NFL offseason in 2021.

UPDATE: Rapoport has tweeted out the full terms of the Julio Jones. It is a second-round pick in 2022, but the Falcons will also get a 2023 fourth-round and sixth-round pick in return.
