In a week that started with the sudden and tragic death of Kobe Bryant, the NFL lost a legend of their own late Tuesday night. Hall of Fame defensive end Chris Doleman, lost his battle with cancer at the age of 58.

Here is a list of Doleman’s career accomplishments:

  • 8x Pro Bowler
  • 3x First Team All-Pro
  • 2x Second Team All-Pro
  • NFL Sacks Leader in 1989
  • 1990’s All-Decade Team
  • Member of Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor

Doleman was a monster on the field who always made his presence known. One big thing that stood out to me while going over his career stats and watching highlight videos, is the fact that he was one of the NFL’s all time best pass rushers, and still managed to have two pick-six’s in his career. An absolute monster on the football field, gone too soon.
