He was reportedly arrested for the act of taking pictures of the protests that came on the news of Iran admitting to shooting down the Ukranian flight.
This flies in the face of diplomatic immunity and for simply taking a picture of citizens who are protesting their leadership?
This is crazy to read and it looks as though he more than likely will be accused of being a spy.
Not entirely sure of how taking a picture of protests…constitutes spy activity..but spies do take pictures clandestinely and report back to their superiors so…It fits…?
The arrest of the Ambassador is sure to ruffle many feathers and if he is tried for espionage or spy activity it might make Iran look even worse in the global community..hopefully, the Ambassador is released and nothing more comes of it. Or this might be just another step in the crackdown of the protestors.
