People Magazine has exclusively revealed the first inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020, with ESPN following suit for the next 4.

The first inductee is 50 year old Guardians of the Galaxy megastar Dave Bautista, who rose to fame as “Batista” in the WWE from 2002-2010, and then again in 2014 and 2019. Facing superstars like Triple H (twice), The Undertaker and John Cena at different WrestleMania events, he broke out as a main star in 2005 when he broke apart from Evolution to win the World Heavyweight Championship from the Game in Los Angeles. Batista is a 4x World Heavyweight Champion, 2x WWE Champion, and won 4 tag team championships over his career with Ric Flair, John Cena and Rey Mysterio. Known for his chiseled physique, Batista commanded your attention the moment he walked out to Saliva’s “I Walk Alone” and unleashed the coolest pyro of his generation. He is one of the most popular powerhouse acts in WWE history. The ceremony is in Tampa, where Batista resides, on April 2nd.

Batista is currently dating WWE SmackDown female superstar Dana Brooke.

The nWo, however, reported by ESPN will also be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. By far the largest group in wrestling, WWE has opted to just induct the main three Kliq members and Hulk Hogan. Hogan, who also lives in Tampa, was the biggest star in the history of Professional Wrestling when he sided with The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) at the 1996 Bash of the Beach PPV, dawning a new era in Pro Wrestling. Eventually joined by Syxx (Sean Waltman), the nWo ran roughshod over WCW as it was winning the ratings war over the WWF until 1998. The nWo is by far one of the most famous acts in the history of wrestling. Waltman, Nash, Hogan and Hall have all previously been inducted at some point for another act. They will join Booker T, Bret Hart, Ric Flair and fellow Kliq member Shawn Michaels as WWEs “2x inductees.”

PSE will keep you updated on all WWE Hall of Fame 2020 inductees. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 13th.
