At least 30 LSU football players are currently isolated in mandatory quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19 according to a report from Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger.

No staff members or players have required hospitalization, and most are showing only mild symptoms of the disease. Players have a history of frequenting many of the bars just outside of campus in the area known as “Tigerland” which reported as many as 100 cases Friday according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

LSU Football is scheduled to start September 5 with a home game vs UTSA but with the current state of COVID-19 cases throughout the country, the college football season remains in question.
