Philadelphia Eagles DE Brandon Graham is nominated for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award. All 32 NFL teams each have a nominee.
The Award is given annually to an NFL player who for excellence on the field and “a steadfast commitment to creating a positive impact beyond the game,” according to the NFL.
The overall winner for the award will be announced during NFL Honors on Feb. 6. Each nominee receives $55,000 from the NFL Foundation to donate to the charity of their choice and the overall winner receivers $265,000.
Graham injured his triceps in the Eagles 37-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams and is out for the rest of the 2024 season.
Graham is in his 15th season in the NFL, all with the Eagles. He has 76.5 career sacks. Graham had 3.5 sacks this season.
The most famous play of Graham’s career, was the strip-sack he had on Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII, helping the Eagles defeat the New England Patriots for their first and only Lombardi Trophy.
This is the second time that Graham has been nominated for the award. He was previously selected by the Eagles in 2022.
