Almost exactly a year since he was reported missing, the body of 58-year-old Jody Dean Howe, was turned up in Marquette County on Tuesday.

According to the Keweenaw Report, Howe’s body was confirmed via forensic autopsy at Western Michigan University. The cause of death was determined to be murder.

Prior to his disappearance, Howe was seen at his home back on August 21 of last year.

However, there was surveillance footage of Howe being at a Meijer store in Marquette on August 23. He was reported missing to the authorities five days later.

The authorities and investigators haven’t released any further details regarding the body. Those details include where the body was found and why it is suspected to be a murder/homicide.
