During a live segment on the AFC Divisional Playoff version of NFL Today, former Super Bowl Champion head coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bill Cowher, gets surprised with an announcement he has truly earned.

It was announced live on CBS with his family in attendance, that Cowher was getting inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame by the President of the Hall, David Baker. The video of the announcement for the induction can be shown below.

The future Hall of Fame head coach led the Steelers to a 161-99-1 overall record through his career, won eight division titles (along with six AFC Championship Game appearances), and won Super Bowl XL in 2006. He also won AP Coach of the Year in 1992.

A very nice gesture by CBS to do this on live television, where he has worked as an analyst on NFL Today since he stepped down from coaching in January 2007.
