Following the success of her latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé, also known for her Texas Hold ‘Em music, decided to take a break. She was joined by her 54-year-old husband Jay-Z and their three children.
Her country album “Cowboy Carter” was a huge hit, expected to earn her an incredible £30 million. It set a record on Spotify as the most downloaded album in a single day.
The 27-track album, featuring collaborations with Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton, received rave reviews. Beyoncé’s venture into country music not only revitalized the genre but also tapped into the $3 billion industry, which saw a rise in both artists and fans. In 2020, country music made up 14.7% of all music sales and streams in the US.
Additionally, Beyoncé showed her support for black female country artists by sending them large bouquets of flowers. Mickey Guyton was one recipient, sharing a picture on Instagram of the white flowers and a card from Beyoncé that read: “Mickey, Thank you for opening doors for me, queen. Keep shining. Love and respect, Beyoncé.”
