The NBA on Christmas Day has become a huge deal for the league. The NBA has key three dates. Opening night, Christmas day, and the postseason. It’s the equivalent to the NFL on Thanksgiving, the NBA goes all out for Christmas Day. This year is no different, the Christmas schedule is stacked. Look at this schedule.

What a beautiful schedule. The NBA on Christmas is great, it gives you a distraction instead of having to talk to your family all day. For a minute, I didn’t think we were going to Christmas basketball this year. Credit to the NBA for making it happen, we need Christmas day basketball.

The best Christmas day game I have seen has to be from 2016. The Cavs vs Warriors. The Cavs were coming off the magical title win against the Warriors. While the Warriors just added Kevin Durant, creating a juggernaut of a team. This game had all the storylines and hype around it. This game for sure lived up to the hype. All the superstars playing out of their minds. Kevin Durant with 36, Klay Thompson with 24, and Steph Curry with 15 points. While Lebron James finished with 31, Kyrie Irving with 25 plus the game-winning shot over Klay Thompson.

This game had everything, a crazy 14 point comeback in the fourth by the Cavs, and a game winning shot. This game was one of the best ever on Christmas.

Another great one is the 2011 matchup between the Lakers and Bulls. Thanks to the lockout, the season, the season started on Christmas in 2011. Derrick Rose coming off his MVP season against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. Much like the 2016 Cavs-Warriors game, the stars didn’t disappoint in this game. Rose finished with 22, plus the game-winner while Kobe went for 28 and seven rebounds. Take some time and watch this matchup, you won’t regret it.

Those are just a couple of the great games we get every year on Christmas. Tomorrow’s schedule looks like we are in store for some more classics. If you somehow still aren’t excited for tomorrow, take some time and watch the best plays on Christmas of the last decade.

Get ready for tomorrow, because we are blessed with some awesome matchups.
