The entire community of L’Anse in Baraga County is paying tribute to the two boys who passed away Monday afternoon and to a girl who is currently battling for her life.

Many tributes for Dylan Roberts, Christopher Turpeinen, and Hunter Pelon were draped all over the school today, including in tonight’s girls basketball game against Wakefield-Marenisco. Many students attended the game dressed in a flannel shirt, in tribute to Roberts and Turpeinen.

The game was also Parent’s Night for senior basketball players and band members. A moment of silence and dedication to Roberts, Turpeinen, and Pelon took place prior to the Varsity game.

The Baraga Vikings Athletic page, who is the biggest rival to L’Anse shared this during the game:

Lots of support at L’Anse girls game tonight. While we know we don’t say this often …..(but for tonight and for the months ahead while you deal with tragedy…….) Go-FIGHT-WIN HORNETS!!!
