Anthony Davis plans to play tomorrow against the Mavericks if he “feels good in the am.” Davis is one of, if not the best power forward in the league and hasn’t played since Valentine’s Day. Davis was ruled out with a calf strain and Achilles tendinosis. The Lakers have been careful with bringing Davis back, as they should. Achilles injuries are nothing to play with. Davis has only played in 23 games this season. In those 23 games, Davis has averaged 22.5/10.3/3.0 on 53% from the field. Plus averages 1.3 steals and 1.8 blocks per game.

The Lakers are 14-16 since Davis went out, and 18-17 overall when he doesn’t play. Compared to 17-6 when Davis plays, outscoring opponents by over seven points per game. The Lakers finally get one-half of their all-star duo back.
