Nearly two seasons ago, Washington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith suffered a leg injury that could’ve sidelined him for a very long time.

But on Sunday, he was back active and dressed on the field and playing his first action against the Los Angeles Rams.

This occurred after starting quarterback Kyle Allen got injured in the second quarter, and then Smith was thrust into action.

Then Smith was able to complete his first passes of the game and season since the injury to running back JD McKissic.

Even though it is not much at this moment, this is truly a remarkable comeback story for all of NFL and a true, great bright spot that is shown for what the year 2020 has brought on to all of us.

Smith should unanimously win NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award just based on this showing at this point.
