AEW has had a very successful first year. It’s arguably the most successful first year of any promotion in wrestling history, as they already landed big television deals, are financially extremely well off despite the COVID-19 pandemic and thriving. It hasn’t been without struggles, however, such as finding a financial backer (which they did in Tony Khan, who’s done a tremendous job), running live television through a global pandemic, among others things.
They’ve now partnered with Director X to cover the first year of the story. It’s a true documentary that will pull the curtain back entitled “History of a Revolution.”
AEW recently ran yet another successful pay-per-view in that of Full Gear and continues to give fans the alternative that they’ve been clamoring for.
