Lawrence Okoye was arrested with 12 other men for soliciting prostitution. This bust took place a couple of days ahead of the first AAF games, which Okoye was suppose to play in.

Okoye was snared by the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force.

He is a defensive tackle for the Birmingham Iron, was released on $1,000 bail Thursday. “We’ve been made aware of it. We are in the process of gathering all the information” said head coach Tim Lewis.

He was on practice squads for the 49ers, Jets, Cowboys, Bears, and also the Dolphins.

He is also a British record-holder in discus with his best throw, 68.24 meters. He lead the Great Britain in 2012 at the Summer Olympics.

This was Okoye’s shot to make a name for himself, and well he did just that, but in the wrong way.

C’mon, Okoye.
