AAA Lucha Libre Plans TripleMania For December, Two Matches Announced

AAA Lucha Libre Worldwide held a press conference today to update the status of TripleMania. The show was originally supposed to happen on 8/22/20 but it ended up being postponed because of the virus pandemic. The company has been determined not to cancel the event this year despite the circumstances.

They’re now hoping to have the show in December at Arena Ciudad de Mexico but no exact date was given and there no guarantees it will even happen with the virus.

There will be 7 matches in all. Mega Champion Kenny Omega vs. Laredo Kid and Pagano vs. Chessman in a hair vs. hair match were confirmed.

La Parka will be posthumously inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame.

They are still working on deals on which TV and/or streaming outlet will broadcast the show to the world.

AAA has some sort of new partnership deal with Marvel Comics. Wrestlers will be dressed as Marvel heroes and villains for a Marvel themed gimmick match with Aracno and Leyenda Americana vs. Terror Púrpura and El Venenoide
