The Philadelphia Eagles signed free agent RB Saquon Barkley to a three-year $37.75 million deal on March 13, 2024 and it is looking like the best addition that this franchise has ever made.
Barkley ran for a franchise record and career high 255 yards on 26 carries with 2 touchdowns, which included runs of 70 and 72 yards.
Barkley had 302 total yards from scrimmage in the Eagles 37-20 thumping of the Rams in Los Angeles.
Barkley has 1,392 rushing yards through 11 games this season. He has an average of 6.2 yards per attempt and 126.5 yards per game.
With his impressive night, Barkley puts himself in the running for the MVP Award. He is a supremely talented player and is on a mission, while running behind one of the top offensive lines in the NFL.
Barkley needs 608 yards over the Eagles final six games in order to reach 2,000 rushing yards for the season.
The Eagles have now won seven straight games and have a record of 9-2. Barkley is the engine of the Eagles supremely talented offense.
