Philadelphia Eagles MLB Nakobe Dean has been very inconsistent over the first five games this season.
Eagles Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio said that Dean has struggled with coverage and tackling in space. He has done a good job when going downhill.
Dean had a good training camp and won the starting middle linebacker job over free agent Devin White. The Eagles recently released White.
Dean is in his third season and has not lived up to the hype he had coming out of Georgia and has been a bit of a disappointment so far.
There has been some talk of Fangio giving rookie fifth-round pick Jeremiah Trotter Jr. a chance to see what he can do.
I don’t think that it’s time to give up on Dean yet, but it may be a good idea to give Trotter Jr. some playing time in games.
