The Las Vegas Raiders are trading star WR Davante Adams to the New York Jets for a conditional 3rd round pick, as per Ian Rapoport.
The conditional third-round pick can become a second-round pick based on performance.
Adams is now reunited with former QB Aaron Rodgers. The two spent eight years as teammates on the Green Bay Packers.
Rumors have been swirling about Adams being for weeks. He had become frustrated with way things were going with the Raiders.
Adams has 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown in three games with the Raiders. He has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury.
The 31 year-old Adams is a six-time Pro Bowler, three-time first-team All-Pro and has led the NFL in receiving touchdowns two times.
The Packers traded Adams to the Raiders in 2022 and he signed a five-year, $141.35M deal. The Jets are taking on the remainder of his contract.
Adams has base salaries of $35.6 million remaining in each of the next two years, but none of the money is guaranteed.
The Jets are 2-4 on the season and have recently fired their Head Coach last week, as the team has underperformed.
