As the clock was ticking off the final seconds of the Philadelphia Eagles 20-16 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Head Coach Nick Sirianni is seen talking smack to the home crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.
This may all stem Eagles fans chanting “Fire Nick” among the boos being rained down on the home team as they headed into halftime tied 10-10 with the Browns.
The fans were frustrated, because the Browns blocked a 57-yard field goal attempt by the Eagles that was returned for a touchdown in the final seconds of the first half which tied score.
Eagles were frustrated with the team’s start to the 2024 season and the fact that they were with the lowly Browns heading into halftime.
The Eagles ended up winning the game 20-16 to improve to 3-2 on the season. Sirianni talking smack is just unnecessary and mocking the fans by putting a finger up to his ear as if to indicate that he couldn’t hear them booing now is unnecessary.
This a horrible look for Sirianni. He is not going to win over the fans with this childish act. Last season, he mocked Chiefs fans at Arrowhead last year after a big Eagles win and then his team proceeded to go 2-6 over final eight games of the year.
