Frank Fritz, a beloved star from the hit reality series American Pickers, has tragically passed away at the age of 58. His former co-star, Mike Wolfe, broke the heartbreaking news in a deeply emotional Instagram post, paying tribute to the man with whom he shared the screen for over a decade. Although there are always two sides to every story.

“Frank passed away last night,” Wolfe shared. “I’ve known Frank for more than half my life, and what you saw on TV was exactly who he was—a dreamer with a heart as big as his sense of humor. He touched the lives of so many just by being himself, on and off camera.” Wolfe’s words painted a picture of a long-lasting bond, one that captured the attention of millions as the duo traveled across the U.S. in search of hidden treasures.

However, the reality behind their relationship was far more complicated than fans may have known. Fritz, who left American Pickers in 2020, had spoken out in 2021 about the tension that had built up between him and Wolfe over the years. In an interview with The Sun, Fritz opened up about what really happened behind the scenes, expressing frustration and disappointment with his former co-star.

“Mike’s statement was bulls—t, somebody wrote it out for him,” Fritz said bluntly, referring to the public message Wolfe had made after Fritz’s departure from the show. “We were never friends in grade school.”

“We were never friends in grade school,” the 55-year-old claimed. “I don’t believe in 10 years he’s said five nice things to me, you know? Unless he was cutting somebody else down and we were both laughing.”

Frank continued: “Mike didn’t call me himself, never, like I said – we haven’t spoken for two years. That is the 100% truth and I don’t like people that lie to people. I’m not a liar just for the fact that my brain can’t remember if I lied or not. I don’t lie to people, even if it hurts. If it hurts your feelings, I’m sorry. If you don’t like me anymore that’s your problem.”

And went to add that he was basically pushed out of the shower after COVID and battling health issues.
