The Philadelphia Eagles signed Zach Baun to a one-year deal worth $3.5 million in free agency back in March. It was a signing that went under the radar.
Baun has been a flat out stud for the Eagles so far this season. He had 37 tackles, 27 solo stops, two sacks, two additional QB hits over the first three games.
Baun’s 27 solo tackles leads the league heading into Week 4. He’s brought physicality and toughness to the Eagles defense.
In Sunday’s 15-12 win over the New Orleans Saints, Baun tallied 13 total tackles, including nine solo.
Baun’s play over the first 3 games has Bleacher Report calling him the steal of the offseason.
Baun was a third-round draft pick by the Saints in 2020. He never became a big contributer in New Orleans, but he’s shining for the Eagles this season.
