Phillies Slugger Kyle Schwarber Leaves Game With Possible Injury

Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber blasted a leadoff home run to give his team a 1-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Schwarber set set the major league record for leadoff home runs in a season with 14. He nows has 35 homers on the year.

Schwarber has now left the game with “left elbow discomfort.” He will be evaluated further, according to the team, as per Todd Zolecki.

The Phillies have said that Schwarber is undergoing further evaluation. He has been the team’s hottest hitter, with seven homers in the last eight games.
