The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Denver Broncos safety Caden Sterns, as per Ari Meirov.
Sterns signed a one-year with Eagles today. It is his third team of the week. The Eagles released LB Shaq Quarterman to make room for Sterns.
Sterns was a the 2021 NFL Draft by the Broncos. He played 21 games in three seasons with Denver.
Sterns has 49 tackles, two tackles for loss, nine passes defended, and four interceptions in 21 games.
The Broncos released Sterns on August 5, he was was picked up by the Carolina Panthers.
After failing a physical on August 8, Sterns was released by the Panthers. He suffered a season-ending torn patellar tendon in the first game of last season.
The Eagles have C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Avonte Maddox, Reed Blankenship, and Tristin McCollum on their roster at safety.
Second-year safety Sydney Brown will miss the first four games of the season on the PUP list.
