Eagles Open 2024 Training Camp Today

The Philadelphia Eagles open training camp today after last year’s end of season collapse, which saw them ousted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wild Card playoff weekend.

Nick Sirianni is entering his fourth season as Eagles Head Coach with a ton of pressure to succeed. Especially, after the way last year ended.

Sirianni has made the playoffs every year that he’s coached the Eagles. He made it to the Super Bowl in 2023 and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Sirianni has two new coordinators with Vic Fangio taking over on defense and Kellen Moore taking over on offense. Those two are expected to help turn things around from 2023’s collapse.

The Eagles enter this training camp minus two key franchise players with the retirement of Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox. Both were very talented players and leaders on their respective sides of the ball.

The addition of star free agent RB Saquon Barkley and the return of Safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson along rookie CB’s Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean spread excitement on this upcoming season.

There is also immense pressure on QB Jalen Hurts, who is coming off a sub-par performance during the team’s end of season collapse.

Hurts began last season as a MVP front runner for the first 11 games of 2023. Hurts had a breakout season in 2022 leading the Eagles to the Super Bowl and although they were defeated, he put on a stellar performance.

The 2024 season is a big year for Sirianni and Hurts as they look to get back on track from the bad way that 2023 ended.
