The Philadelphia Phillies have three players selected to start for the National League in the All-Star Game on July 16, as announced by Major League Baseball.
Phillies star first baseman Bryce Harper was already named as starter last week as the the National League’s vote-getter.
Third baseman Alec Bohm and shortstop Trea Turner were announced as starters yesterday after phase two voting ended.
Bohm will be making his first All-Star appearance during which has been a breakout season for him.
This will be the third All-Star appearance for Turner. He previously made it with the Washington Nationals in 2021 and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2022.
Harper is currently in the midst of what may be his best season ever. The two-time N.L. MVP winner has just been named N.L. player-of-the month for June, after winning the honor for the month of May too.
Bohm is the National League RBI leader and Turner has been consistently hitting well over .300 before and after coming back from his injury.
For Harper, he is making history with starting at least one All-Star game in both the outfield and infield.
The All-Star Game is being played on Tuesday, July 16 this season. It will be played at Globe Life Park in Texas, the home of the Rangers and the Philadelphia Phillies will be well represented in the starting lineup.
