Eagles Found Not Guilty Of Tampering

The NFL’s investigation of whether the Philadelphia Eagles were guilty of tampering with free agent RB Saquon Barkley before they were allowed to has come to the conclusion that they did not violate the Anti-Tampering Policy.

The Eagles signed Barkley to a three-year, $37.75 million deal on day one of free agency this year. He spent the first six years of his career with the New York Giants.

The tampering stemmed from comments by Barkley’s Head Coach at Penn State, James Franklin. Barkley said that Franklin misinterpreted a conversation that the two of them had.

Barkley joins an Eagles offense that is loaded with weapons. He is coming off a season of 962 yards rushing on 247 carries and 6 rushing touchdowns, while also adding 41 catches for 280 yards and 4 more receiving TDs.
