World Series rematch

by Connor Green | Posted on Sunday, April 3rd, 2016

The 2016 MLB season is almost upon us and one of the very first match ups of the season is a World Series rematch between the New York Mets and the defending champion Kansas City Royals. The two teams will face off this Sunday, April 3 at 8:30 p.m. and the¬†two opening day starters will be the Matt Harvey and Edinson Volquez. The New York Mets look to get even with the Royals after last year’s World Series (Royals won in five) and Matt Harvey versus Volquez is a fantastic way to kick off this regular season. The Royals will be looking for a repeat championship this year after a very impressive season and an equally impressive postseason which ended with the Royals taking home the championship for the first time since 1985, the Mets on the other hand lost the first World Series they had been to in over ten years. This new season is a fresh start for both of these teams that had very successful seasons last year and the rematch of last years championship is a great way to kick off the 2016 season. All teams start off this season with zero wins and zero losses, baseball season is finally here and a new, exciting year of baseball is sure to follow.Washington Nationals v New York Mets
