Adrian, Michigan– Toledo hosts Tulsa on Friday and Wheeling on Saturday before traveling to Brampton on Sunday. Tulsa will be a critical matchup for the Fish. The (13-4) Oilers are ranked 3rd in the league overall on the league’s website. Toledo is only two spots back at 5th and stands (14-3) on the season overall.
Saturday is set to be a bit easier for the Toledo based hockey club. They’ll square off with the (7-10) Nailers. The team has struggled this season, but still has the potential to be a bit dangerous. Something the Walleye are well aware of.
The Walleye fell to 6-1-0 at home earlier this week. Toledo went 28-7-1 on home ice last season. Now they’ll be looking to bounce back. Tulsa is on a two game skid coming in. Meaning that while they’ll be hungrier than TOL, they’ll likely have less momentum to build of off.
The Fish have one of the top scorers in the league in Shane Berschbach. Berschbach has 10 goals and 16 assists on the year to this point. The Michigan native continues to impress, now in his sixth year in the league (quickly approaching seventh in 2019).
Pat Nagle will have his work cut out for him however. Tulsa will look to make his Friday a little less than fun. Ryan Tesink has 17 points this season and Pieskach and Rhodes both have 7 goals for the Oilers.
You can listen to the game on Fox Sports Toledo (1230am WCWA) on Friday at 7:15pm or buy tickets at the box office prior to puck drop at the Huntington Center.
