Tim Thomas Takes Too Long of a Vacation
- Updated: February 7, 2013
As if the lockout wasn’t enough of a vacation veteran goalie Tim Thomas has been traded. After the 2011 – 2012 season long time Bruins goalie Tim Thomas decided to take a break. Thomas who has always been controversial seemed to always play by his rules but it seems the Bruins are fed up. After the lockout Thomas stuck to his commitment to a year vacation after 6 months off and many were predicting and early retirement.
Thomas was traded for a second round pick but is that a good trade for an Olympic goalie? Well if he doesn’t report then hey it wasn’t a first round pick right? Thomas will be in orange, white, and blue in a New York Islanders sweater if his vacation fizzles away. Well if he plays for the Islanders at least he will not be seeing President Obama any time soon.
