Texas Tech University Head Coach Chris Beard has recently agreed to a multi-year extension to stay in Lubbock. According to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman, the contract is worth up to over $27 million through the 2024-25 season.

Under Beard, Texas Tech is one year removed from a share of their first conference title since joining the Big 12 Conference back in 1996.
As last season’s Coach of the Year by the Associated Press and in the conference, Beard lead the Red Raiders to the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet Sixteen for the second straight year.
