Stars have it rough too

The Golden State Warriors were coming into the playoffs riding high with a record high seventy-three win season under their belt. The Warriors had it all they were the defending champions, they had the defending MVP (who is also the runner up this year) in Stephen Curry, and they were favorites heading into this years playoffs. Last night was pretty much the same for the Warriors as they beat the Houston Rockets 121-94 and took a commanding 3-1 series lead, but despite the win the Warriors may have lost something irreplaceable and that is defending MVP Stephen Curry. Curry slipped and after missing a few games in this series already the star point guard was forced to leave the game, he did not return. Later an MRI revealed that Curry was diagnosed with a sprained MCL and will probably miss at least two weeks. This will most likely mean Curry will at least miss the remainder of this series against the Rockets and then the next series against either the Los Angeles Clippers or the Portland Trail Blazers, however Curry might end up missing all the way into the NBA finals. The Warriors certainly have a tough road ahead of them without their star player, but with players like Draymond Green and Klay Thompson it would be hard to count the defending champions out. Golden State Warriors v Houston Rockets - Game Four

In other news involving sports stars former multiple Super Champion, Tom Brady, will serve a four game suspension for his role in “deflate-gate”. In case you’ve forgotten or simply never knew the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl back in 2015 and it was found that some of their game balls in a playoff game were under the standard air pressure. The Patriots were under a lot of scrutiny for this, largely because of the Patriots shady past with things like their spying scandal. The four game suspension was lifted last year, but recently an US appeals court ruled that the suspension should take place and now the Patriots will likely play a fourth of their season with Jimmy Garoppolo as their starting quarterback.¬†AFC Championship - New England Patriots v Denver Broncos
