Today was a big reveal day for NetherRealm Studios and Mortal Kombat 11, as the team revealed two returning characters that are bound to shake things up quite fiercely.

First up, as you can see above, is Noob Saibot. A secret character initially named after producers Ed Boon and John Tobias, this is a dangerous fighter that uses a body double of sorts to deliver twice the damage. And there’s no question that his fatality is definitely on the brutal side. You can see his trailer above.

But then there was a fun reveal introducing The Krypt to the game, along with a returning fan favorite that a few people may recognize…

That’s right, Shang Tsung is back- and not only that, he’s based upon the character originally introduced in the 1995 Mortal Kombat film! The character’s build is based upon Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who portrayed the soul-stealing warrior in the movie, although he’s a bit on the older side here. And it’s got us wondering…is the film canon now? Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

If that wasn’t the thing to get you excited, how about some old-school Mortal Kombat products? Numskull has just introduced a line of new Klassic goods that will be released soon, featuring an old-school set of shirts, a cool Snapback cap and even a candle that reeks of combat. Check out the action at the link above!

Mortal Kombat 11 releases on April 23 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Who’s ready to FIGHT?
