NFL is BACK: Here are my picks for Week 1

by Jari Sague | Posted on Wednesday, September 6th, 2017

That’s right folks, get excited! The NFL is back, and between crazy free agency moves, suspensions seeming to come out of nowhere, and after waiting patiently for what seems like forever, Week 1 starts tomorrow with the New England Patriots hosting the Kansas City Chiefs at 8:30pm Eastern time.

The Patriots have lost Julian Edelman for possibly the entire season with a torn ACL, but managed to trade for another speedster in Phillip Dorsett at the last minute, giving them a fast, albeit mediocre receiving core. However, with Tom Brady still at the helm, just about anyone can look like a superstar under the Patriots system. The Chiefs come in just as strong as ever with Alex Smith having another year of experience under his belt, and a defense looking to be one of the top in the league once again with Eric Berry, Justin Houston, and Derrick Johnson all coming back, giving them a strong core that could potentially slow down Brady and company. Either way this looks like a thriller to kick off a great Week 1.
