NCAA Football Recap Week 3

1.Alabama vs. Arkansas

After Arkansas losing their top 25 ranking, they were still really upset about that, and ended up getting whooped despite it. Alabama destroyed Arkansas with a final score 52-0. Alabama definitely played like  BCS champions.

2. USC vs. 21 Stanford
In a close game all the way to the end, Stanford pulled off a huge 21-14 win. Stanford running back, Taylor rushed for 153 yards. USC wide out, Lee, received 100 yards.

3. LSU vs. Idaho
LSU won 63-14. The LSU defense had 4 interceptions, two of them went for touchdowns.

4. Oregon vs. Tennessee Tech
After blowing out the first two teams, the Ducks were able to blow out Tennessee with a final score of 63-14. Oregon rushed for 324 yards and passed for 328 yards.

5. Florida State vs. Wake Forest

For Florida State’s first ACC game, they were able to shut out Wake Forest with a final score of 52-0. Florida State running back, Chris Thompson, rushed for a total of 197 yards.

7. Georgia vs. Florida Atlantic

The Bulldogs ended up pulling off a 56-20 win. Georgia quarterback, Aaron Murray, threw for 342 yards. This was a good win for the Bulldogs. They hope to sweep the SEC.

8. South Carolina vs. UAB
In a pretty quiet game, South Carolina won with a final score of 49-6. Connor Shaw got injured in the middle of the game. Marcus Lattimore rushed for 85 yards off of 12 carries.


9. West Virginia vs. James Madison

After winning their first game, West Virginia was able to pull off a 42-12 win. West Virginia quarterback, Geno Smith, threw for 34/39, 411 yards passing. WVU wide receivers, Austin and Bailey, received for a total of 286 yards combined.

10. Michigan State vs. Notre Dame

Michigan State lost in a hard battle 3-20. This whole game was a defensive game, not an offensive game. There were no high stats on either side of the ball.

11. Clemson vs. Furman

After coming off 2 great wins, Clemson was able to pull off a 41-7 win. Clemson star quarterback, Tajh Boyd, threw for 310 yards to help secure a win for an undefeated team.

12. Ohio State vs. California

In a close game all the way to the end, the Buckeyes were able to pull off a 35-28 win. California’s kicker missed 4 field goals. Ohio State quarterback and Heisman candidate, Braxton Miller, threw for 249 yards with 4 touchdown passes and 75 rushing yards.

13. Virginia Tech vs. Pittsburgh

With an upset by Pittsburgh, the Hookies lost with a final score of 35-17. Pittsburgh quarterback, Tino Sunseri, threw for 283 yards. Also, the two Pittsburgh running backs rushed for 251 yards combined.

14. Texas vs. Ole Miss

Texas pulled off a 66-31 win, which is one high score. Texas quarterback, David Ash, threw for 326 yards. Texas rushed for a total of 350 yards.

15. Kansas State vs. North Texas

The Wildcats stay undefeated. They won 35-21. Quarterback, Klein, passed for 230 yards and rushed for 85 yards.

16. TCU vs. Kansas

The Hornfrogs were able to pull off a 20-6 win. Kansas quarterback, Crist, threw for 303 yards. TCU quarterback, Pachall, threw for 335 yards.

17. Michigan vs. Massachusetts

After beating Air Force last week, Michigan was able to pull off a 63-13 win. Michigan star quarterback, Denard Robinson, threw for 291 yards. He also rushed for 105 rushing yards.

18. Florida vs. 23. Tennessee

In a close SEC match-up, the Gators were able to pull off a 37-20 win. Tennessee quarterback, Tyler Bray, threw for 359 yards.

19. Louisville vs. North Carolina

In a close game at the end of 2 minutes, Louisville stopped the UNC offense from getting a touchdown. Louisville won 39-34. UNC quarterback, Renner, threw for 363 yards. Louisville quarterback, Bridgewater, threw for 279 yards.
