Once again the sports world is graced with the ever so exciting March madness tournament and after an exciting first two rounds of the tournament there is still much more excitement to be had. However, sometimes in the midst of all the buzzer beaters and the bracket busters we as fans sometimes forget about the actual players on the court, one of these players is Miami’s Angel Rodriguez. Miami is a third ranked seed in this year’s NCAA tournament and after an impressive victory over eleventh seeded Wichita State the Hurricanes are set to take on the number two seeded Villanova. So far in this tournament one of Miami’s players, Angel Rodriguez, has shined and emerged as one of the biggest stars so far in this years March madness tournament. Rodriguez put up an impressive, team leading twenty-four points against Buffalo coupled with an impressive seven rebounds. Rodriguez put up an even more impressive twenty-eight points in the second round against Wichita State in which he shot nine-of-eleven from the field. Rodriguez has already combined for an impressive fifty-two points so far in the tournament (26 points per game) and looks to continue his hot streak against a tough opponent in Villanova. Rodriguez is currently in his senior year for the Hurricanes and finished his season with the second most points per game on his team with 12.6 (behind Sheldon McClellan whom had 16 per game), however Rodriguez did finish with a team best 4.4 assists per game. Rodriguez stands at five-foot-eleven and plays point guard and even for a relatively small guard this kid clearly plays with a big heart and will look to lead the Hurricanes to their first final four appearance ever.Angel Rodriguez
